North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has described President Donald Trump as “mentally deranged” and asserted that he would “pay dearly” for the recent threats against his country.
In a statement on Friday, Kim said that Trump is “unfit to hold the prerogative of supreme command of a country“, describing the President as “a rogue and a gangster fond of playing with fire”.

Kim’s statement was broadcasted by the North’s official Korean Central News Agency in response to Trump’s combative speech at the UN General Assembly on Tuesday.
Trump had earlier mocked Kim as “rocket man” and threatened Pyongyang that the United States would “totally destroy” North Korea if its territory or allies are attacked.
North Korea claimed it would sturdy nuclear deterrent to protect it from an aggressive US, and the autocratic regime has made militarism a central part of its national ideology.
