Their Ancestors called them Tomorrow’s Leader as their Leader became our Leader

‘One day’,  we’ve cry

‘One day’, many have projected

‘Tomorrow and future’ had slept on the lips of our fathers

We grew to see what they prayed it’s hidden from us

As their leader became our leader

And their song ….our song

Their ancestors called them tomorrow’s leader

But our fathers wasted away without tasting a drop of leadership honey

They project it may be their sons

Yet in their presence their sons are robbed of their future

As leadership cycle within a cult

A cult that looks destined to rule and not lead forever

Sometimes I tried to link it

To know whose fault

Or a curse

I took KOLA NUT to consult IFA,

Bribe Imam and Pastor with my daily bread

To know the sacrifice to carry

Or the best highway that open door to answered prayer

I met our leaders donating at the celebration of OBATALA

With their flowing gown they sit on the high table in mosque and church

Then I think to myself

What truth will flow out of IFA?

What living water would I get from Mecca and Jerusalem?

What is truth?

 If not me

As I saw thousands of robbed future still shouting RANKADEDE

All to the one that lavish their destinydestiny
