You smiled, I smiled, We exchanged contact, Could this be love?

Young loving couple using mobile phone together at bench
Is Love Enough?

You smiled
I smiled
We exchange contact
Could this be love?

We went out
We rode
We ate best
This could be love!

You called
I chatted
Then you invited.
It’s getting serious.

You kissed
I touched
And we shared the bed!
This is not right.

You cheated
You lied
Then I cried
It’s getting sour

You screamed
I argued
And you punched
Could this still be love?

You begged
I forgave
Things deteriorated
Is love enough?

But I love you
And you love me
we still wallow in potholes
Love is not enough.

Love is sweet
When adorned with chasteness
Patience and kindness
I read in a scroll

Could you strive in patience
A bit more tender
Forgiving and kind?
I beseeched my lover

You said never
I cried over
We parted forever
For love is not enough.
