Poetry: Letter to Mummy, Can you even hear me at all?

Letter To Mummy

Hello mum, how are you?
My love l seek, is she in your abode?
Have you found her anywhere near?
Can you even hear me at all?

Is she out in the fields mama?
Or away on a trip?
Maybe delayed in the hills?
Hmmnn….held back in the stream?

My tummy is empty
Her lad is hungry
I hope she comes soon
That l may eat from her bossom

Mum, this one thing l pray you
Do hear me out this one time
Dish to her, this words as follows
True words of my heart to my love

My heart says to her “Suffer me not angel”
“Show up here just in time”
Your kid just asked,”could it be hide and seek”?
Hear this crown, We are lovesick !

I’ll go take a shower now
I’ll sit right in and wait for you
But just in case l sleep off
Wake me up when you are back
