Former Director, New Media of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Deji Adeyanju, on Monday demanded for the immediate suspension of the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Ibrahim Kpotum Idris,
He stressed that such action will allow smooth investigation into the allegation raised against his office by the Senator representing Bauchi Central in the National Assembly, Hamman Isah Misau.
Senator Misau had accused the IGP Idris of collecting about N120 billion as bill for Special Security Services to corporate bodies and Influential people.
While speaking with the Press in Abuja Adeyanju urged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to thoroughly investigate and prosecute those found guilty as a step towards eradicating corruption in the Nigeria Police Force.
The activist called on President Muhammadu Buhari to ensure the arrest and probe of the IGP as statement of his resolve to tackle corruption taking in the public sector.
