Success is a feeling of great achievement or accomplishment. It is a virtue of conquerors and champions, the apparel of men and women of valour. It is a thing that is desired by 99.9% of the peoples of the world.
Everyone plan to succeed, you would hear people say things like “I want to become a successful Entrepreneur” , “A Successful Lawyer”, “A Successful Farmer”, “A Successful Banker, Economist etc.
Who is a Successful Person?
Well, there is really no general accepted parameter or criteria to determine who a successful man or woman is. It means different things to different people based on what they hope to accomplish.
To a Doctor, success may be about ensuring that he saves lives of the people at his or her disposal by putting smile on their faces (of course, that is a deep feeling of accomplishment)
To a mother, success may be training her children and ensuring that they get the best out of life at all cost which will give them a secured future.
To an Entrepreneur, it may be about satisfying the needs of his client without hitches….
However, I would say that a successful person is the one who affect others positively, he or she is the one whose success story outlive him or her.
Mind you, the road to success is not an easy one. In fact, an essential trigger for success is failure.
This may sound contradictory, but the truth is, any successful person today must have failed or passed through certain challenges.
Look at Thomas Edison, he failed over 10,000 time in his attempt to invent the electric bulb but he didn’t give up; Abraham Lincon became the 16th President of America after 14 failed trials; Bill Gates, the world ‘s richest man today and the proud owner of Microsoft also suffered failure in his first business but didn’t give up and he was able to put together a company that revolutionized the personal computer market place; Henry Ford also failed twice which abruptly resulted in bankruptcies prior to successful lunching his Ford Motor Company.
You would agree with me that before we have what is called Gold, it must have passed through fire, so also is the success story of conquerors.
More often than not, everyone plan to succeed, but we cannot rule out the fact that failure sets in at some point, even when we least expect it.
The simple antidote for failure is NEVER BE DISCOURAGED no matter the situation. Stay determined and positive at all times, just keep doing what you know how to do best, and surely, success will find you .
Do not quit. Remember that winners never quit, quitters never win.
It doesn’t matter the number of times you have failed, what matters is what you are doing to get back on track.
Your success is predetermined by how well you manage your failures.
THE WORLD IS WAITING FOR YOUR SUCCESS STORY. KEEP YOUR DREAMS ALIVE.
