I don’t mean to break your heart
my journey through the ashes cake me black
I’m trying to hold the rope
but I’m breaking with no path
i don’t mean my ugly words
my beauty was touch i fade with crowd
I’m back with my wretched cloth
back to the trenching floor
only your love can make me strong

I’m enticed i don’t mean to go
the gold with beauty i see not the end
i trade for a journey i know not what to meet
i think i’ve got it all but I’m dying with loss
wisdom escapes my pen like a dove released
i scrambled to taste of glory but kissed the dust
i have no home for my heart to rest
your love is mine and my home of glory

I’m sorry i can’t read it all
the writing on the wall
the warning of love
my heart close to your word
i follow bait of thin bronze
gold i crave for
a heaven i dream
but in dungeon I’m treasured
fed only with pain and torture
if only i can read the sign of love only from you

To home i go
i will retrace my step
no matter how far i will crawl
just to touch the tip of your mercy
just to behold your face again
to visit the pottery workshop
to be reborn, rebuilt and refined
to be called a legend of gods and the son of Almighty
to have my name engraved on the book of life
to sit in God’s love
my only home
