Chain: I’m in the shackles of my dream, I am mourning for my future

Oh heaven
I pray someone comes to my rescue
for I was born and bred in captivity
Don’t think of my last night’s smile
I’m in the shackles of my dream
Stop building on my jokes
I’m mourning for my future

Don’t think of the love and smile on my jailer’s face
Or my prison…..another man’s heaven
Don’t be carried away when my jailer drops millions on my lap
Or my meal of king Solomon
I’m not the rich kid
I’m rather the poor man of my dream
poverty of my destiny strikes every moment
I will die with my cross
If freedom is far

My jailer sent me to the white land to gain wisdom
He tagged me with many names
Isaac Newton by the day
Ben Carson by the night
sometime Doctor or Emeritus Prof.
Every day, sun of my future dims
Every morning I pray my reality is a dream

Freedom waves through my window
Wisdom kisses my lips
I gather my future garment,
Hold unto the mantle of my dream
Yet I have a challenge
The challenge of my JAILER

Like a fool I tender my letter
The joy that the jailer requested
With first class sitting on it
Jailer calls H eaven and Earth to celebrate his victory….a detriment of my dream
But as he dines and merries
I took the instrument of my future
A hoe
A cutlass
I jumped the fence
with the jailer screaming BASTARD!!!!!

I want to be the BASTARD
I never want to be BEN CARSON
Don’t call me ISAAC NEWTON
I NEVER desired to be a doctor or prof.
You can take my certificate and glace
I want to be the real bastard
A bastard….yet a farmer
I want to feed the world
A dream I desire from birth

As I cross my home’s bridge
I looked back
I saw the beauty of my prison
Yet freedom is so appealing
I know I will suffer
I know there will not be help from home
But my dream is more than money
It worths every blood draining from me
As I journey towards my golden dream
With the scream of bastard ring on and on
The bastard that would feed the world
The bastard you will one day call MY SON
