I have heard and read a lot of things about prophecies and also the effects which they have on their recipients. I have also been a recipient and probably will not stop being as long as we remain on this earth. A lot of times we are told things like “do not travel for two months, if not, you will die.”
This reminds me of something my Pastor said about a similar prophecy being made concerning him and he rejected it and spoke to God about it.
Some times, such things are true, but most times it is not ours to claim. I read of recent on Instagram, a post which my friend shared with me. It was the testimony of a man whom was told by a prophet when he was small that he would never do well academically and when it is time, his parents should take him to learn a trade. He probably thought less of himself before then, and the prophecy confirmed his fear.
Today, he is the youngest PHD holder and probably the only one as far as architecture is concerned.
“Do not fall deeply, lest a person comes and says you have got to get up. Close your heart and put it away because a man or woman some place in the world is praying to find someone like you. Say no, not often, but always, so that your yes could mean a lot to the one with whom you have been predestined.”
I have never read that certain people were stopped from marrying, because of the colour of their skins and tribes, as far as the Bible is concerned. Yes, there were certain exclusions, but it was because they were not God’s people, even though they were his people.
Have you not heard or read that the light and darkness have nothing in common? Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers.
“Watch out for these signs, so you do not miss him or her when he or she comes. Don’t live today, so you can live when tomorrow comes.”
Have you never heard that tomorrow never comes? All we have are many todays!
“Hold your breath, so you can breathe in fresh air tomorrow.”
Do not think or feel for yourself. Let the church dictate for you with whom you wine and dine, the only thing the society has left for you to decide.
Do not discuss your plans with anyone, lest you are bewitched into losing focus.
You are not to mingle, friends distract you, but you can have acquaintances with who you move up the ladder.
Do not pray on your own, you may hear the things you want to hear, not what you have to hear.
Do not think everything will work out fine, because evil things are hovering around your head.
There’s this thing and around your neck. Things will fall apart and the center will not hold. The world will make you an Heathcliff; bitter and full of anger, forcing the love in you to seem like a wild obsession.
The man of God you feel is the only way to know what your father in heaven is thinking, that’s why you run to him for anything.
We need to change the way we think. The curtain was rent when Jesus died, the barrier broken and we all have free access to God.
I believe in prophecies, don’t get me wrong, but I believe in the God that made me and I know the promises He has made concerning me. I also believe in the saying that “enu eni lo fin so meje” whichever means it is with one’s mouth that a person refuses or rejects.
We forget to breathe and pray because of tomorrow. Often times, men and women miss it because they are trying so hard not to miss it. Some people just become to religious, they forget to reason.
God wants us to reason, as much as he wants us to believe in things reasoning cannot explain. When we reason, we know that there is a God that sees the things we do not and Him alone should be focused on.
It’s possible to receive right, but interpret wrongly. We are humans and tend to perceive things as we they should be, not as they are.
You own a right to your destiny, contrary to what you are made to believe. Pray for guidance and speak good things to yourself.
What are you feeding your soul? What are you speaking into your life?
I don’t know who you see when you look at yourself, but I know that you cannot make any progress until you see yourself for whom you truly are; a beautiful soul capable of great exploits.
You are an independent being, created wonderfully and equipped with all you need to do things right.
I don’t know what is being said to you, but those words cannot get to you, if you don’t think less of yourself. You need to love yourself, without forgetting who you really are. You need to be aware of who you are.
God has made you great, although the enemies have plans to bring us down. A pillar cannot be fell, if it is deeply rooted.
Finally, you do not have to take in everything you are told that is wrong about you. Negative statements, prophecies, if you do not want them you reject them. It’s up to you to say what you are and what you are not.
