It is essential that each person in a neighbourhood acts in a way that does not take away the rights of others. This is what being a good citizen is all about. Good citizens are actively involved in the noble activities of their community.

We all want to be known as good citizens and with a little thought and effort, anyone can be one.

Here are the 6 ways to be a Good Citizen in your Neighbourhood:

 

1. GIVING GOOD EDUCATION

One of the best things you can do to help your Neighbourhood is to be well educated. When you are well educated, you can get jobs and contribute more to the economy of your community with good education, you are better informed and you can make better decisions about voting and other civic activities.

 

2. WORKING HARD

No matter what job you have, working hard is an important part of being a good citizen in your Neighbourhood. When you work hard, you contribute your quota to the development of your Neighbourhood.

 

3. BEING FULLY-INFORMED

Good citizens in the neighbourhood must be fully informed about issues that affect their neighbourhood, and the country at large.

 

4. GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY

When you have opportunity to play hour part in your community, do it without hesitation. This is one means of giving back to your community.

 

5. CREATING JOB OPPORTUNITY

Create opportunity for others in your neighbourhood to work wherever you can. You can fairly pay someone to cut your surroundings, and do other household chores when necessary. Doing this can be of help to me meet the needs or someone.

 

6. BEING HEALTH CONSCIOUS

A good citizen will be conscious to keep a healthy community by taking care of himself/herself and the immediate environment so that there will not be outbreak of diseases.
